Day 1 of Inktober 2026. The prompt was “Apple.”

My mind went straight to the cost of organic apples. We often buy organic to avoid the pesticides used on conventionally grown apples. But the price of organic apples is crazy -the premium can be close to 50%.

Which seems a little counterintuitive: the apples without the chemicals cost more.

So I figured if they're that valuable, maybe they need a security escort to the car. 🍎
