Day 15 - hooray
Everyone’s #1. Nobody’s impressed.
Companies hand out trophies like candy and call it recognition. But employees want fair pay, meaningful work, and genuine appreciation. Not award theatre.
Stop performing appreciation. Start showing it.

For Inktober Day 31, the prompt was Flex. Instead of drawing bulging muscles, I took a different approach: meet Tom, who proudly works at 2:47 a.m. and wears his exhaustion like a badge of honour. He's flexing his overwork, but burnout is waiting around the corner. The final cartoon of Inktober 2026 comes with a lesson for all of us: sometimes the thing we're most proud of is the very thing that's costing us the most.
Cookie Monster has an empty cookie jar, but the world is overflowing with chaos. From war and economic turmoil to environmental disasters, maybe C really does stand for Crazy. Inktober Day 30: a little Cookie Monster humour for a world that seems to have lost the plot.
For Inktober prompts 27 (Dumb) and 28 (Trophy), I poke fun at a culture where showing up on time earns a trophy. When basic expectations become extraordinary achievements, it's fair to ask whether we've lowered the bar too far.
