Inktober Day 31: Flex
For Inktober Day 31, the prompt was Flex. Instead of drawing bulging muscles, I took a different approach: meet Tom, who proudly works at 2:47 a.m. and wears his exhaustion like a badge of honour. He's flexing his overwork, but burnout is waiting around the corner. The final cartoon of Inktober 2026 comes with a lesson for all of us: sometimes the thing we're most proud of is the very thing that's costing us the most.
Inktober Day 30: Cookie
Cookie Monster has an empty cookie jar, but the world is overflowing with chaos. From war and economic turmoil to environmental disasters, maybe C really does stand for Crazy. Inktober Day 30: a little Cookie Monster humour for a world that seems to have lost the plot.
Inktober Days 27 & 28: Dumb and Trophy
For Inktober prompts 27 (Dumb) and 28 (Trophy), I poke fun at a culture where showing up on time earns a trophy. When basic expectations become extraordinary achievements, it's fair to ask whether we've lowered the bar too far.
Dapper & Bake - Day 23 & 24 - Inktober 2026
Behind on Inktober? Combine two or more prompts into one drawing. It’s a practical way to catch up and a fun creative challenge that pushes you to think differently.
beacon Day 22 - Inktober 2026
We’ve never had more access to information, yet misinformation, conspiracy theories, and outrage spread faster than facts. In a world full of noise, critical thinking and truth are our beacons.
Hero Day 21 - Inktober 2026
A bus, someone watching TikTok at full volume, and one fed-up passenger. Some heroes wear capes. Others throw phones out windows. Speakerphone privileges revoked.
flightless & confused - Day 18 and Day 19 - Inktober 2026
Two seemingly opposing worldviews find themselves on the same side. This Inktober 2026 editorial cartoon explores the puzzling alliance between radical Islamists and some liberal women in the West.
gangly & contraption - Day 16 and Day 17 - Inktober 2026
Golfers will try almost anything to improve their game. For Inktober Days 16 and 17, Gangly and Contraption combine in a cartoon about the ridiculous lengths we go to in pursuit of the perfect swing.
Hooray - Day 15 - Inktober 2026
Everyone’s #1. Nobody’s impressed. Companies hand out trophies and call it recognition. But employees want fair pay, meaningful work, and genuine appreciation not award theatre.
Flimsy & lady - Day 13 & 14 - Inktober 2026
A little breeze, a flimsy dress, a beautiful woman, and one very distracted man. A cartoon combining the Inktober prompts Lady and Flimsy.
toss - Day 12 - Inktober 2026
How did calling someone “sir” become grounds for ejection? This Inktober cartoon pokes fun at pronoun sensitivities and the growing tension between courtesy, free speech, and honest mistakes.
rescue - Day 11 - Inktober 2026
A 30-second video, a sensational claim, and an instant opinion. This editorial cartoon takes aim at TikTok news, misinformation and the illusion of understanding complex issues from short clips.
mystical - Day 10 - Inktober 2026
An honest politician might be the closest thing we have to a supernatural phenomenon. For Day 10 of Inktober, I explore the mystical rarity of a politician admitting he's only saying what voters want to hear..
panic - Day 7 - Inktober 2026
A fear of needles is pretty common. I can handle them as long as I look away and pretend the giant needle isn't there.
ogre - Day 6 - Inktober 2026
The poor ogre isn't angry. He's just hungry and his blood sugar is low. For Inktober Day 6, I put a slightly different spin on the stereotypical angry ogre.
smack - Day 5 - Inktober 2026
There’s nothing wrong with TikTok, opinions, or protesting. But maybe a 30-second video from a stranger with a ring light shouldn’t be the entire foundation of your worldview.
Cactus - Day 4 - Inktober 2026
A farmer discovers that sometimes the best way to keep birds away from your crops is to send the flock a very clear message. A darkly funny cactus cartoon for Inktober 2026.
miniature - day 3 - inktober 2026
Unaffordable housing.
Relic - day 2 - inktober 2026
Sometimes relic tech works best.
