Panic: When the Needle Is Bigger Than the Problem

For Inktober 2026, the prompt is “Panic.”

When it comes to everyday phobias, needles rank among the most common fears, alongside things like heights, spiders and confined spaces.

I don't love needles myself, but I can tolerate them by looking away and focusing very hard on anything other than the fact that I'm about to be stabbed by someone who didn't do well enough in Biology to get into medical school.

Of course, the needle in this cartoon might be a little harder to ignore.
